Board of Directors – Open position

The Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District Board of Directors has a board opening that will be filled by appointment. Interested parties should send a letter of interest to UMRDD by mail or email, on or before noon on Friday, July 29.

The mission of the Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District is to provide quality public safety communications support to all system users and to provide this service in the most cost effective manner possible. For more information about the District, please visit our About page.

The Board of Directors support the work of District and provide mission-based leadership and governance. While day-to-day operations are led by Brett Mueller, District Administrator, the Board-Administrator relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Some of the Board Member responsibilities include approving large expenses and the annual budget, partnering with the Administrator to create long term plans and ensure resolutions are carried out. Board Directors are also expected to act as ambassadors for the District and attend monthly Board meetings that are alternately held in Hermiston and Boardman.

This is a great opportunity for an individual that is invested in the success of the Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District. Ideal candidates will have experience working in public safety, but that is not a requirement.

The successful appointee will have the opportunity to run for the position during the next election, in May 2023. For more information regarding the election process, please contact the Umatilla County Elections Department at 541-278-6254 (https://umatillacounty.gov/departments/elections)

You may call the office at 541-966-3774, or email any questions through our Contact page.
