What is the Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District?
The Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District is a Special District formed through a House Bill and Levy to acquire, maintain, and upgrade the voice and data communication system used by local, state, and federal agencies that include police, fire, and medical service within Umatilla and Morrow Counties and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The boundaries of the city of Milton-Freewater are not supported.

Why is the city of Milton-Freewater not included?
At the time that the District was formed, this jurisdiction elected not to be included and therefore does not receive communication support and does not contribute tax dollars for the district.

May I attend a board meeting? How can I become a director on the Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District Board of Directors?
All of the board meetings are public. If you are interested in learning more about the district and the board, please attend a meeting. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month and alternate between Hermiston and Boardman. You can find our meeting schedule on the “Calendar” page. If you would like to run for a position on the Board of Directors, contact the Umatilla County Elections Department.

Where are you located?
The Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District office is in the Umatilla County Justice Center at 4700 NW Pioneer Place in Pendleton Oregon. The District shares space with the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office but is not a Umatilla County agency.

What are your business hours?
The Umatilla Morrow Radio & Data District office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm but the staff is on call 24 hours a day to respond to system issues and user emergencies. Often, staff are in the field working with users, so please make an appointment by calling 541-966-3774 or Email.
